When I came across the Japanese expression Tsundoko – the phenomenon of acquiring reading materials and letting them pile up in one’s home without reading them, it really resonated with me and when I came across this image I felt I needed to share it with all you other books worms – so this is my Christmas card for 2022.
I bet you have never seen a Christmas tree like the one attached!
When I came across the Japanese expression Tsundoko – the phenomenon of acquiring reading materials and letting them pile up in one’s home without reading them, it really resonated with me and when I came across this image I felt I needed to share it with all you other books worms – so this is my Christmas card for 2022.
I love the expression “every day is a school day”, I am an avid reader as it helps quench my thirst for knowledge but that also means I accumulate a lot of spurious knowledge and a lot of books, although I have to say that latterly I tend to read from a dreaded ebook device. Let’s hope we all get a few books for Christmas!
As usual, we will not be sending out Pabasso Christmas cards this year but once again sending this electronic message instead of Christmas cards because it’s better for the environment and we donate the money we would have spent on cards and stamps to a charity of our choice.
This year we have again chosen The Children’s Heart Surgery Fund in Leeds which support the Congenital Heart Surgery Unit at Leeds, the unit that saved the life of our 30+-year-old eldest daughter, Lily, when she was 2 months old after she was born with a hole in her heart. She made a full recovery and is now the mother of one and soon to be two children – who’d a thought it!
Wishing you all a happy, healthy and fulfilling Christmas and beyond, R
